I created A.BABY to not only provide shade representation for all skin tones using clean ingredients, but also to establish these values of inclusivity and “good for your skin” as part of my brand identity. Shade representation is extremely important to me, and as I am starting to build my brand and what I stand for, I want that to be loud and clear.

Being part Black, Indian & Dutch I have experienced both unintentional and intentional racism. I have been told to stand in the shade to not get any darker while on a photo shoot in India as a young girl with my mom. While overseas in Europe people have asked to touch my hair.

Being in the modelling industry for the last 7 years and working with beauty products almost every day, I wanted to create a product that combines my obsession with makeup that enhances easily with my desire for cleaner ingredients and shades that compliment all skin tones while creating shades for every skin tone.

I have struggled with whether or not to get any plastic surgery to keep up with almost all the others in this industry that have. In the end I made the choice not to get any, not even lip injections which now almost everyone in modeling and entertainment have, for a few reasons. One, because I want to show young girls (including my 13 year old sister) that being themselves is more beautiful than trying to be like everyone else they see on social media with different faces then they were born with. Two, natural ingredients can plump lips as needed safely and as needed and three, natural beauty always stands out in a room. Clean beauty products can enhance your God given beauty and put your into the forefront with confidence & self love. Launching my own business that blends my love for and belief in natural beauty, a belief in one’s self and animal safety has been a dream come true. I stopped eating meat in 2017 because I realized how much animals are suffering and refused to be a part of an industry that continues to hurt them.

A.BABY is my passion project – something I am proud to put my name on and authentically me. I hope you guys love it as much as I do!!
